Ambassador Munir Akram calls on Pakistan Army Chief in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations Munir Akram meet Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interests and overall regional security situation came under discussion.

They also discussed Afghanistan reconciliation process and Kashmir dispute.

General Bajwa appreciated the mission’s role and efforts in the service of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu visited 3rd Main Jet Base in Konya, Turkey.

The visit aimed to review multi-national air exercise “Anatolian Eagle-2021”.

In a press release, PAF said the Air Chief interacted with participants.

Moreover, he praised the operational readiness and professionalism of the participating aircrew.

On Tuesday, Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa COAS termed competence and devotion to duty hallmark of Pakistan Army.

He expressed these views during his visit to National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad.

He said that Pakistan stands for peace within and all around, as it looks forward to acting as a bridge between regions.

While expounding on Pakistan’s support to Afghan Peace Process, COAS said that spoilers of peace in Afghanistan risk regional instability.

The COAS stressed upon a peaceful and durable solution of Kashmir issue in line with relevant UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people.

While sharing his vision of Pakistan Army, COAS underscored the need for continuous evaluation of existing doctrine and corresponding strategy to effectively deal with the evolving threats in various domains.
