Amir Khan selling luxury ‘Dubai-style’ wedding hall; here’s why

British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan has announced the sale of his luxurious wedding hall, The Balmayna, just months after its grand opening.

The four-storey venue, which took almost a decade to complete, is listed for £12.5 million.

Located on Washington Street, off Deane Road, The Balmayna boasts three dedicated wedding floors, a rooftop events terrace, and parking for up to 200 vehicles. The venue offers luxury dining, chauffeur services, musicians, a shisha bar, and more.

Khan took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to advertise the sale, inviting interested parties to contact him via email at [email protected].

He said: “I am looking to sell my wedding hall for £12.5 million. The property features four floors, including three dedicated wedding floors and a rooftop events terrace.

This sudden decision comes after The Balmayna won a late-night license last month, allowing it to operate until 12:30 AM.

The venue’s business partners, Excellency Plaza, had applied for the license on May 20, aiming to capitalize on the venue’s luxurious offerings. Despite its promising start, Khan’s decision to sell raises questions about the future of The Balmayna.
