Azhar Mahmood announces legal action over false accusations

Pakistan cricket team assistant coach Azhar Mahmood has also announced legal action against those making allegations.

In his statement, Azhar Mehmood said that baseless allegations were made on social media and other media platforms, adding all the charges are false, baseless and fabricated.

He added that misleading people by making false accusations is disappointing and dangerous. The former all-rounder said that talking without evidence is an offense and legal action will be taken against all such people.

Azhar Mehmood further said that gaining attention on social media by making false accusations is unacceptable. Strict action will be taken against those who make baseless accusations against me and my family, the national team’s assisstant coach said.

It should be noted that earlier there was a news of the Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam’s decision to file a defamation case against YouTubers and ex-players who made allegations.

According to sources close to the captain, Babar Azam was disappointed with the allegations made by former players and there is a possibility of sending legal notices to YouTubers and former players, Babar has started consultation with the legal team in this regard.

The sources said that PCB’s legal department is also collecting data on the statements of YouTubers and former players.
