Babar Azam set to lose captaincy again?

Following a below-par show in recent months, major changes in Pakistan cricket team are on cards, including change in captaincy of both Babar Azam and Shan Masood.

Though, the Men in Green are not scheduled to play any white-ball games in coming months, but change in the captaincy is being considered with in general.

He was not appointed as captain in the upcoming Champions One Day Cup by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also added fuel to the speculations.

It is reported that Pakistan could appoint a new white-ball captain for the upcoming tour of Australia, with Babar’s future in the role being uncertain.

It is being speculated that Mohammad Rizwan, the current vice-captain, could be named as the new leader as well as Test captain.

Furthermore, the decision will be made after consultation with white-ball head coach Gary Kirsten. Discussions are expected to center around Rizwan’s potential appointment.
