Ban on cards for Usman Khan?

Batter Usman Khan could be facing a ban in the leagues organized in the United Arab Emirates after opting to represent Pakistan at international level.

The batting sensation is currently attending a fitness camp organized at an army base in Kakul with Pakistan pool of players for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

Though, he has sought out the contract termination from the Emirates Cricket Board in order to represent Pakistan, things might not as simple as they look.

Following that, ECB has started an investigation on a potential breach of his contract.

According to ESPONCricinfo, the board is looking into whether his play for Pakistan constitutes a breach of his contract.

The board will also review possible breaches of contract over his involvement in other cricket leagues in the UAE, including the T10.

If the breach is proved, Khan could be banned from league cricket in the UAE. Moreover, it would also impact Khan’s work permit in the country.

Usman Khan still has 14 months to go before he becomes a resident.
