Bangladeshi batting line crumble in second Test against Pakistan

Bangladesh’s batting is struggling in the first innings in reply to Pakistan’s 274 runs in the second Test match being played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.

Bangladesh opened their first innings on 10 runs at the start of the third day’s play at the Pindi Cricket Stadium today, but the Pakistani bowlers wreaked havoc on their batting line-up taking 6 wickets for 26.

Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan opened the innings, but failed to give their team a big start.

Zakir Hasan scored one run and was caught out by Abrar Ahmed off the ball of Khurram Shahzad. In his next over, the fast bowler first sent Shadman Islam to the pavilion for 10 runs and then took the wicket of captain Najamul Hasan Shinto.

Momin-ul-Haq scored only one run while Mushfiqur Rahman, the hero of the first Test match, could score only three runs. Both these wickets were taken by Mir Hamza.

Currently at the crease is Shakib Al Hasan and Latin Das. The visitors need 248 runs to end Pakistan’s first innings lead.
