Banks to remain close in Pakistan till Monday

Banks across Pakistan are scheduled to observe a three-day closure starting from Saturday (today), as announced by the State Bank.

The process will continue till Monday, said the State Bank of Pakistan in a press release.

This closure includes Monday, which marks the beginning of the new financial year and will be observed as a bank holiday.

Regular weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday will also be observed during this period.

Though, the bank staff will be present for administrative purposes on Monday, but there will be no public dealing.

The State Bank has advised customers to plan their banking activities accordingly, considering the closure period.

The temporary shutdown aims to facilitate administrative adjustments and ensure operational readiness for the new fiscal year.
