Bilawal and Shah Mahmood hurl taunting remarks at each other at NA
Prior to Prime Minister’s speech, both engaged in a fiery debate during the National Assembly session.
However, their personal taunting remarks had nothing to do with the topic of fiscal budget.
Although Bilawal commented on Tuesday’s vote on the federal budget which he said rigged.
He reminded NA Speaker Asad Qaiser of his obligation to count the votes when he challenged the it.
Furthermore, he said that if Qaiser had conducted a count, the PPP could have at least recorded its stance on record.
Bilawal recalled he stood up at the time of the last vote and challenged his ruling, but the speaker stood up and left.
Then, he turned to Shah Mahmood Qureshi and taunted that in the past as a minister during the PPP’s tenure he would shout slogans in favour of party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Shah Mahmood betraying Prime Minister
He implied that Shah Mahmood was betraying Prime Minister and also accused foreign minister Qureshi of making deals on Kashmir.
That evoked an instant response from foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
He said that he also knew the PPP leader Bilawal since he was a child.
Qureshi recalled Bilawal used to stand in the corner. But now, this child is given written speeches to read and his switch turn on.
He said he knows Bilawal and his father and what sort of a people they are.
The foreign minister lashed out at the PPP chairman for levelling allegations of violating parliamentary tradition.
He reminded the PPP chairman that in Sindh province, where PPP rules, they did not even allow the opposition leader to speak.
Minister of Multan
While responding to the minister, Bilawal again sarcastically said Qureshi’s allies would soon come to know that the “minister of Multan” could resort to anything for his own sake.
Bilawal also claimed that the PPP expelled him because he wanted us to make him the prime minister instead of Yousuf Raza Gilani.
However, Qureshi replied that he didn’t not know the truth and reminded him that he (Qureshi) had won election in 2013 and 2018 as PTI leader.
He asked Bilawal to go and investigate why I left your party. However, he also taunted Bilawal calling him a child.
Moreover, he also referred to election of Yusuf Raza Gilani as a result of deal.
