Police have identified Carmine Faino as the man behind a deadly shooting in Pennsylvania that left one woman dead and two state troopers injured.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris, the 61-year-old suspect first shot his neighbor, Lori Wasko, outside her home. After that, he opened fire multiple times, even shooting down a police surveillance drone.

State troopers Joseph Perechinsky and William Jenkins were both struck by bullets during the attack. They were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but remain in stable condition.

The incident ended when police shot and killed Faino. Officials have not yet shared a clear motive for the attack. However, Commissioner Paris suggested that the suspect had a tactical advantage and fired “dozens and dozens of rounds” before being stopped.

The community has been left in shock, mourning the loss of Lori Wasko and praying for the recovery of the two injured officers. Investigators are now piecing together the timeline of events to understand what triggered this violent confrontation.
