How Much Tax Will Be Deducted on Prize Bond Winnings? Key Update

The new Finance Act 2026-27 came into effect on July 1, bringing several tax changes for the new financial year. However, the tax rates on Prize Bond winnings have remained the same.

Under the new law, filers will continue to pay 15% tax on Prize Bond prize money, while non-filers will pay 30% tax on their winnings.

Rs750 Prize Bond Draw on July 15

The 107th draw of the Rs750 Prize Bond will be held in Lahore on July 15, 2026.

The first prize is Rs1.5 million, which will be awarded to one winner.

There will also be three second prizes of Rs500,000 each, while hundreds of winners will receive the third prize of Rs9,300.

Popular Investment Option

Prize Bonds remain a popular investment choice in Pakistan, especially for people who prefer to avoid interest-based investments. The original investment amount remains secure, and investors get a chance to win cash prizes through quarterly draws.

Currently, Prize Bonds are available in denominations of Rs100, Rs200, Rs750, Rs1,500, Rs7,500, Rs15,000, Rs25,000, and Rs40,000.
