Cambridge IGCSE, O/A level results 2024 announced

Cambridge International Education has released the results of its June exam series for Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), O-Level, and International AS and A-Level.

In Pakistan, over 100,000 students from 683 schools sat for Cambridge O-Levels, IGCSEs, or International AS and A-Levels, with 226,000 entries for Cambridge O-Levels and IGCSEs and 125,000 entries for Cambridge International AS and A-Levels.

The most popular subjects among Cambridge O-Level and IGCSE entries were Pakistan Studies, Islamiyat, Mathematics, English Language, and Urdu as a Second Language.

For Cambridge International AS and A-Levels, the top subjects included Physics, Mathematics, Business, Chemistry, and Computer Science.

Rod Smith, Group Managing Director for International Education at Cambridge, congratulated students and teachers on their hard work and dedication.

Uzma Yousuf, Cambridge’s country director for Pakistan, noted the positive trend of students focusing on subjects that develop skills for the future, indicating a broader awareness of global challenges and opportunities.

This year’s exam series saw a 10% increase in entries globally, with over 1.9 million entries for qualifications including Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, International AS & A-Level, and the International Project Qualification.
