Champions Trophy: Date for Pakistan, India clash revealed

The date for the highly-anticipated match between Pakistan and India at the ICC Champions Trophy has been revealed.

The tournament will be played from 19th February to 9th March in three cities of Pakistan –Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.

As per the proposed schedule, the mega clash is set to take place in Lahore on March 01. Apart from that, India will play rest of its games at the same venue as well.

Though, it is not clear at the moment, whether India would come to Pakistan or not.

“The PCB has submitted the draft of the 15-match ICC Champions Trophy. Seven games in Lahore, three in Karachi and five in Rawalpindi,” an ICC Board member said.

In the proposed schedule, Group A includes Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. Group B consists of England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan.

All member countries have confirmed their support for the Champions Trophy to the ICC.

BCCI will make a decision on the Champions Trophy after consulting with the government.
