‘Civil Awards’ for minor services no more

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has approved a change in the policy of awarding Pakistan’s highest Civil Awards.

After the approval of prime minister, the way to give Pakistan’s highest Civil Awards for menial services and favored persons has been closed.

The sources said that no organization or ministry will be able to nominate its blue-eyed person for the award. The scrutiny and award recommendation committee will review before the nomination for the Pakistan Civil Award. Apart from this, a detailed evaluation of the extraordinary services of the nominated persons for the country will be recorded in the report. The federal ministries and institutions will send their recommendations to the cabinet division along with the scrutiny report.
