A petition seeking to file a sedition case against Pakistan cricket team and its captain Babar Azam has been submitted to a local court in Gujranwala.

The petition has been submitted by a lawyer to the court of Additional Sessions Judge, Gujranwala, Tamwal Zeb Naeem.

It was stated in the petition that a sedition case filed against Pakistan cricket team, captain and other team officials including team manager, coach and chief selector for losing against India and the US in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

The court has sought a report from the police on the application of registration case and directed SHO Aroop Police Station to submit the report by June 21.

It should be noted that the ICC T20 World Cup is ongoing in the US, in which Pakistan was defeated by America and India.

Pakistan was defeated by America by 5 runs in Super Over while India won by 6 runs against Pakistan.
