The training camp for Pakistani cricket team players at Kakul has concluded.

Speaking to the media after the camp, Pakistan cricket team captain in limited overs Babar Azam said that physical training camp would benefit a lot in international cricket.

This was my third such camp, every time I have come I have learned something, he said.

The start batter further said that the main aim of the camp was unity in the team and a lot of work was done on it. After this camp, we will not worry about physical fitness. The most memorable moment for me was Azam Khan climbing the mountain, Babar Azam said.

All-rounder Shadab Khan said that the fitness camp was very important before the World Cup as the more fit the players are, the better the team will be. Through the camp, the players got a great opportunity to understand each other, Shadab added.

Pakistan pacer Aamir Jamal said that such training was completely new to us but then we got used to it.

Earlier, the schedule for the Iftar-dinner being hosted by Army Chief General Asim Munir for the players of the Pakistani cricket team participating in the Kakul camp has been changed.

The Army Chief had earlier invited the cricketers participating in the Kakul camp to an iftar-dinner on April 7. However, the schedule has been changed and the national cricketers have now been invited to the event on April 8.

Along with the Army Chief, senior officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces will also attend the iftar-dinner. Besides, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi will also attend the Iftar dinner.
