De Villiers issues Kirsten’s Pakistan warning ahead of T20 World Cup

South Africa great AB de Villiers has made a bold prediction about Gary Kirsten’s Pakistan during an interview on YouTube.

The former world number one batter backed the South African‘s appointment as Head Coach of the Pakistan Cricket team stating that prepare to see more polished Pakistan.

“I just want to say one thing, prepare to see a more polished Pakistan. Prepare to see some players lift themselves to the top. Those who will show themselves on the world stage and take the game to the next level,” he said.

Earlier, Kirsten was appointed as the head coach of Pakistan men’s cricket team in white-ball formats.

Moreover, the Mr. 369 said that Pakistan will emerge as a very competitive team in white-ball cricket.

“I hope they will be knocking the doors in the knockout stages in the T20 World Cup,” he added.

Reflecting on their past collaboration when Kirsten coached South Africa and de Villiers captained the team, de Villiers recalled Kirsten’s supportive approach.

He reminisced, “I’m not better than you, I’m just here to support you. Whether it’s during pressure, good times, or bad times.”
