Debt forces this Indian actress to eat cheap INR20 meal in Audi A6

Bollywood actress Rashami Desai revealed that she was forced to eat cheap INR20 meat and slept in her car after she lost her house and had a debt of INR3.5 crores.

Interestingly, she kept her beloved Audi A6, where she slept for four days. The actress revealed that she went broke after he divorce with actor Nandish Sandhu.

“I had bought a house during that time. I had a loan of almost Rs 2.5 crore, and apart from that… I remember there was a total debt of Rs 3.25-3.5 crore on me. I thought everything was fine but then suddenly, my show was shut down,” she told Paras Chhabra on his podcast.

Desai went on to add that she spent four days on road and slept in her Audi A6, while her stuff was stored at her manager’s house.

“I was completely cut off from my family. Those days, rickshaw valas would have a meal for INR20. It used to come in a plastic bag which had daal and chawal mixed and they would give two rotis along with it. It would have some stones also but I ate that anyway,” Desai added.

“That four days were very difficult.”

Rashami Desai revealed that things took turn again after she struck Dil Se Dil Tak deal, where she starred with Sidharth Shukla.

“I somehow paid off my loan but I was still to stressed all the time.” She revealed that a few of her colleagues and team members helped her in dealing with that phase.

Later, Rashami Desai revealed, she sold her car to pay remaining debt.
