Saud Shakeel, the captain of the Champions Cup team Dolphins, has said that we did not play good cricket and also luck did not help us.

Speaking to a local TV after the victory against Lahore Lions, Saud said that they could not perform well in all three areas of the game, due to which they finished at last.

He further said that win and loss is a part of life and we learn from it. It gives us an opportunity to wake up to what we should do and how to improve things.

The star batter said that the role of the toss was very important in the tournament and the target was not achieved in any match. We fielded first in all the three matches which made a difference and also sometimes the umpiring decisions went against us which caused the loss.

Saud said that there was a lot of emphasis on fitness before the start of this tournament as all the boys came through the fitness test. But, I think we need to work a little more on fitness, he added.

He further said that it is possible that the energy level has come down due to the heat. As professional players we should improve where there is room for improvement, he added.

He added that Jahandad Khan and Akif’s performance in the tournament was impressive. Mir Hamza is generally considered a red ball player but he bowled brilliantly here, he added.
