Educational institutes to remain closed on August 26

All schools, colleges and universities across Sindh will remain closed on August 26 on the account of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

The education department has also issued a formal notification in this regard on Friday. The decision was taken by the steering committee of education department.

“All the public and private educational institutes under the administrative control of the College Education Department, Government of Sindh shall remain closed on Monday 26th August 2024,” read the notification.

Moreover, all private and public schools under the administrative control of the School Education and Literacy Department will also remain closed.

The mourners will observe the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) on Monday with religious zeal and reverence.
