Electric shocks being given to Dr Aafia in US jail: sister

After meeting Aafia Siddiqui, who is imprisoned in the US jail, her sister Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui reached Karachi.

Talking to the media at airport, Fauzia Siddiqui said that Dr Aafia seemed very weak in meeting. Aafia told me that electric shocks were applied on her head, Fauzia said.

She added that in the meeting we kept shouting for 3 hours as there was a glass wall in the middle.

Dr Fauzia Siddiqui said that in the last time the keys were lost and this time the phone was not working. I was left there alone for a long time after taking away Dr Aafia, she complained.

She further said that our lawyer has gone to Afghanistan to investigate and the family that kept Aafia has also been found.

She said that the previous and present government is fully involved in this crime. It is my request to the government that arrangements should be made for Aafia’s return home, Fauzia said.
