End of an era: Aamir Khan set to quit Bollywood

After producing countless blockbuster movies and infinite moments of magic, Aamir Khan is reportedly retiring from Bollywood.

The rumours of his retirement are circulating in the industry as he has not been able to deliver on the big screen recently.

His son Junaid Khan’s interview also added fuel to these rumours as well.

Junaid, who made his acting debut with Netflix film Maharaj, revealed in an interview that his father is going through a period of retirement and that is why he has formally started his career in the film industry.

“I have always been behind the camera on the sets of the film. I was working on a film for my production company Aamir Khan Production Company when my father told me that he is retiring, why don’t you handle all this,” he said.

“This was the phase when I decided to officially get into production. I think I have a good understanding of film production which is one of the difficult areas of filmmaking,” he added.

Currently, Aamir is working on sequel of his blockbuster movie “Tare Zameen Par”.  He has come through a difficult phase of his career after his films underperformed.
