Timothée Chalamet Opens Up on 'Dune 3' After Oscars Loss at CinemaCon 2026
Timothée Chalamet laid bare his takeaways from Dune: Part Three in his debut outing since the Oscars.
Tuesday saw the 30-year-old hit CinemaCon 2026 here to pitch the sci-fi sequel. Co-stars Zendaya and Jason Momoa flanked him onstage with director Denis Villeneuve – timing that followed Chalamet’s Best Actor defeat at the 98th Academy Awards by Michael B. Jordan.
The full lineup debuted seven minutes of fresh footage from the blockbuster-in-waiting.
“It was deeply emotional,” Chalamet said while reflecting on completing the Dune trilogy.
He elaborated: “I’ve grown up on screen with Denis, I’ve been in three films now with Zendaya, and it was just deeply moving to be part of a sci-fi trilogy on the scale of Lord of the Rings, but in a time when movie theaters and movies aren’t as naturally successful as they used to be. It’s a deep honor, if not the biggest honor of my career, to be working with the one, [who] is Denis Villeneuve, the real Paul Atreides.”
