Indian Celebrities Come Together to Celebrate Abida Parveen, Perform ‘Tu Jhoom’

Indian stars, led by Sonu Nigam, unified at an event to celebrate and pay tribute to Pakistan’s legendary singer Abida Parveen.

A widely shared video features Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Akhtar, Anurag Basu and others singing performing the Coke Studio hit Tu Jhoom by Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lal.

This track was included in Coke Studio Pakistan’s Season 14 was curated and produced by Xulfi. The track grown immense admiration and presented amid the most-streamed songs of 2022, soon after it was released

In the viral clip Sonu Nigam playing a djembe drum while relaxing on a couch with Salim Merchant.

Shankar Mahadevan simultaneously handled the tambourine while standing alongside Sonu Nigam.

Even though the instruments were being played, the lead vocals of the chartbuster were performed by three female singers, with Harshdeep Kaur among them.

The video quickly went viral online, fans appreciating the cross-border musical moment, as one of them wrote, “Music has no boundaries.”

Another internet user wrote “So beautiful gesture. It’s the love and respect”.

The video just came shortly after the Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin singer opened up about suffering from a nerve-related health problem.

Nigam revealed that he has undergone several MRI and CT scans  as he was in a lot of pain due to some nerve problem. He is taking medications  and is undergoing  treatment.
