Rani Mukerji Wins Special Honour at 62nd Maharashtra State Film Awards

Indian actress Rani Mukerji was presented with special honor of the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award at the 62nd Maharashtra State Film Awards in Mumbai.

On Wednesday at Ribindra Natya Mandir in Prabhadevi contain the award ceremony. The actress received the honour from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra in the attendance of Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar and further major industry associates.

This milestone consider as especially meaningful for the actress, as she born and brought up in Mumbai and to make he career in the city she took nearly three decades. According to Rani, being honored with an award carrying Raj Kapoor’s name made the moment really exceptional.

The actress cordially about Mumbai and endorsed the city for giving her an identity, viewers and a successful career. She called Maharashtra as her home and harmless place, saying the award would always prompt her of the city she loves.

The actress has also played powerful female character which show women as strong, brave and independent such as Black, No One Killed Jessica, Hichki and the Mardaani franchise. As per her statement, she has always focused on playing women who are strong, fearless and not afraid to face challenges.

Rani devoted the honor to Maharashtra’s people, artists, technicians, filmmakers and the entire film world. She stated gratefulness for the acknowledgement and said getting the award named after Raj Kapoor was an extremely overwhelming thing fro her.

The honour celebrates Rani’s long-standing contribution to Indian cinema and her connection with Maharashtra.
