Father killed, son injured in Karachi robbery incident

KARACHI: In yet another incident of street crime in Karachi, a father was killed and his son was wounded for resisting robbery.

According to police, the distressing incident took place near Bilal Chowrangi petrol pump in Korangi area of the metropolis.

Police said three dacoits on a motorbike intercepted Abdul Malik and his son Kashif outside their factory in Korangi.

The son opened fire at the robbers, resulting in the injury of one of the bandits, identified as Imtiaz Ahmed.

In response, the muggers also fired at the victims, killing the 50-year-old father on the spot.

In the footage, the robbers can be seen fleeing with bag carrying approximately Rs 300,000 while the remaining Rs 700,000 were picked up by the passerby citizens.

Later, the police arrested the injured robber and recovered around Rs 300,000 while the remaining amount of Rs 700,000 is still unaccounted for.
