Fawad and Mahira’s ‘Humsafar’ to be presented in Indian theatre?

Indian media has claimed that Pakistan’s blockbuster drama serial ‘Humsafar’ will be presented in theater form in India very soon.

According to the India’s news agency ‘Times Now’, Indian actor Imran Zahid while talking to the press said that he has contacted the management of the Pakistani TV channel to make a theater for Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s drama ‘Humsafar’.

Imran said that he has sought legal permission from Momina Dared, the founder of Momina Duraid Productions, to make a theater of ‘Humsafar’ and she has given him a positive response.

The Indian actor said that he has also contacted Sultana Siddiqui in this regard and she has also shown interest in theatre.

The actor further said that only after getting legal permission we will start working on the drama theater and all the actors working in this theater will work voluntarily without compensation as our aim is not to earn money from this theater.

Imran added that it is hoped that after all matters are settled we will finalize the project and only after that the date of the theater will be announced.

It should be noted that the acting of Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan in the drama serial ‘Humsafar’, which broke many records of popularity on the television screen in 2011, is still fresh in people’s minds. This drama was also very popular in India and Bangladesh.
