LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has rejected the Power Division’s allegations against its officers deployed in power distribution companies.

In a letter to the Secretary of Power Division, the FIA expressed concern over the allegations made in the Power Division’s letter.

The FIA stated that if there were any complaints against its officers, they should be made with specific names and details.

The agency reiterated its commitment to combating electricity theft and corruption, saying that it has filed 185 cases in this regard.

The Power Division’s letter, which sparked the controversy, alleged that FIA officers deployed in power distribution companies were involved in serious wrongdoing.

According to documents obtained by GTV News, Secretary Power Division has written a letter to DG FIA, charging FIA officers of misconduct.

FIA officers were deployed in distribution companies to prevent power theft, corruption, and improve revenue collection.

Sources revealed that some FIA officers are accused of colluding with corrupt elements and providing protection to power thieves.

However, the FIA has vehemently denied these allegations, standing by its officers and their efforts to combat electricity theft and corruption.
