FIA officers deployed in Discos accused of corruption

Sources reveal that some FIA officers are accused of colluding with corrupt elements and providing protection to power thieves.

CEOs of distribution companies have complained to the federal secretary power division about the conduct of FIA officers, demanding action.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had directed the Power Division to appoint a deputy director-level officer from the FIA to the Discos on a permanent basis.

The FIA officials were tasked to prepare cases against the corrupt officers.
