Film star Resham reveals her real name after many decades

Famous actress Resham, who gave super hit films to Lollywood in the past, has revealed her real name after many decades.

Recently, Resham appeared as a guest on a private TV channel’s comedy program where she talked about various aspects of her life including her career.

In response to a question from the host, the Lollywood actress said that she belongs to the city of Faisalabad in the province of Punjab, but her family moved to Lahore before the start of her showbiz career.

She further said: “I started my career with Pakistan Television (PTV) dramas. Initially, I used to get short roles, but when people liked my acting, I was cast for lead roles.”

Regarding her name, the actress said that her real name is not Resham but Saima. There was an actress named Saima in Pakistani showbiz before me, so I had to change my name, she added.

She said that her elder sister changed her name before her first play. I was named Resham after a lot of thought and then I got fame with that name, the actress said.

Speaking about love, Resham said that she has fallen in love many times in her life and in every love her  heart was broken.

The actress did not clarify who broke her heart and why she has not married yet.
