Former Pakistani all-rounder Khalid Ibadulla passed away at the age of 88 in New Zealand.

He made this record in 1964 against Australia in the first Test match played in Karachi.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has offered condolences on the death of Khalid Ibadulla.

Khalid Ibadulla was born on December 20, 1935 in Lahore and was known as Billy in cricket circles in England.

The all-rounder was associated with the Warwickshire county in England for a long time.

Ibadulla built a fine career with Warwickshire. He was one of the first Pakistanis to play county cricket after being overlooked for Pakistan selection for the 1954 tour to England. He went to England and played as a professional cricketer and did so successfully. He played about 18 seasons, including key roles in two limited-overs cup titles in three years. Ibadulla took 3-25 and scored 28 in Warwickshire’s four-wicket win in the 1968 final.

Later, he joined as a coach a school in the UK. Afterwards, the all-rounder moved to New Zealand to play for Otago (and some games for Tasmania in Australia) as well as do some coaching,
Khalid Ibadulla played an important role in the early development of Glenn Turner, one of greatest batters of New Zealand.
