Five-day holiday on cards for Eid al-Adha

Another long five-day holidays on cards on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha, one of the most significant Islamic events.
According to astronomical calculations, the Eid al-Adha 2024 is likely to fall on Sunday, June 16th, 2024, which, combined with the typical weekend, could result in a five-day holiday from Sunday, June 16th to Wednesday, June 19th.
While the exact dates will depend on the official moon sighting, however, in the United Arab Emirates as well as in Pakistan, holidays are likely to run from Sunday, June 16th to Wednesday, June 19th.
Including the weekend (Saturday, June 15th), that’s five days off to mark the festival.
The UAE has already observed two long weekends this year, marking the New Year 2024 and Eid Al Fitr.
