The Anti-Terrorism Court has approved the pre-arrest bail application of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the judicial complex vandalism case.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur along with his lawyers appeared before the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad where he filed a pre-arrest bail application in the judicial complex vandalism case.

During the hearing in the Anti-Terrorism Court, Gandapur’s lawyer Raja Zahoor argued that Ali Amin is named in the FIR, but he has no role as he was not present at the time. 50 FIRs have been registered against him but he was not allowed to reach the court, the lawyer said.

After hearing the arguments of the lawyer, the court accepted the pre-arrest bail request of KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur against a surety bond of Rs50,000.

Last month, the Azad Kashmir Election Commission had also issued an arrest warrant for PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur, who was recently nominated as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister by PTI founder Imran Khan.

According to the election commission, there has been a case registered against Ali Amin Gandapur for violating the code of conduct during Azad Kashmir elections.

A letter of arrest of Ali Amin Gandapur has been issued to Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, in which the nominated chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been directed to appear before the Election Commission of Azad Kashmir on February 28.
