The death toll from Israeli strikes on the territory has risen to around 2,750 while some 9,700 people have also been injured and over a million Gazans have been displaced while supplies are running out.Israel after suffered the deadliest attack in its history unleashed a relentless bombing campaign on the Gaza Strip.

We all know water is life — Gaza is running out of water, and Gaza is running out of life,” said United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini.

“The residents drink unhealthy water, posing a serious health crisis that threatens the lives of the citizens,”Gaza’s Interior Ministry spokesperson Eyad al-Bozom said.

For the past 10 days, no clean water had been provided by Israel to any of the five governorates within the besieged enclave, al-Bozom added.

Israeli airstrikes on civilians convoys marked as “safe routes”

Thousands of Palestinian civilians on October 13 began to flee to southern Gaza after the Israeli military ordered people in the north to evacuate.Israeli Defence Force highlighted safe routes for people to take and said they would refrain from bombing until 8pm.

However,a convoy of vehicles carrying fleeing civilians in Gaza was hit by a deadly airstrike travelling on one of the two roads identified by the Israeli army as “safe routes”.

The bombing on so called “safe routes” in Gaza City killed a reported 70 people, including children, occurred on Salah-al-Din Road.

Israel, Hamas deny ceasefire reports

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement: “There is currently no truce and humanitarian aid in Gaza in exchange for getting foreigners out.”

Meanwhile, the UN Human Rights Office has raised alarm over humanitarian situation in the besieged Palestinian enclave, calling for “urgent need” to halt hostilities to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.
