‘Gen Bajwa threatened me’

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has claimed that former Army Chief General (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa had already threatened him to hold a press conference, to which he said that he should do it.

Talking on a local TV show, Khawaja Asif said that two or three years ago we were given a briefing that if the Taliban return to Pakistan, a new sun will rise and there will be peace and brotherhood. But the claims made during the briefing proved to be wrong. Someone should answer it, the PTI founder should also explain this.

He said that he has not done any contempt by demanding an answer. If my words have hurt someone’s sensitive nature, then I will say that let it go, he said.

Asif aid that Gen (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa has already threatened him that he will hold a press conference.

The minister further said that the rigging in elections is a political issue, if you want to audit, then do it for 2018 as well.
