US President Joe Biden has condemned the attack on former president Donald Trump at an election rally.

The former president of the United States, Donald Trump, was injured in the attack during the election rally, but his life is safe, while the person who shot Trump was killed.

Donald Trump was on stage to address the participants of a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania when the shooting happened. During the speech, Trump bent down as the shots rang out and the rally was stampeded.

Trump’s campaign team said in a statement he is “fine”.

“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act,” spokesman Steven Cheung said.

“He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”

The former president and presumptive Republican nominee was showing off a chart of border crossing numbers during his last rally before the Republican National Convention opens on Monday when bangs started ringing through the crowd.

Trump could be seen reaching with his right hand toward his neck. There appeared to be blood on his face.

U.S. President Joe Biden received and initial briefing on the incident, the White House said.

Trump and Biden are locked in a close election rematch, with most opinion polls showing the two evenly matched.

Biden has been facing his own pushback within his own party following a disastrous debate performance against the former president a little more than two weeks ago.

After the incident, US President Joe Biden has condemned the murderous attack on former President Donald Trump in an election rally, saying that he is happy to know that Trump was safe in the attack, there is no room for such violence.

Speaking later, American President Biden said that Donald Trump is fine, there is no place for this kind of violence in America, the Secret Service took immediate action and moved Trump to a safe place, he thanked them for the immediate action of the law enforcement agencies. I will talk to Trump soon.

Apart from this, former US President Barack Obama has also condemned the incident and said that there is no place for violence in American democracy, it is satisfactory that Trump is well, Michelle and I are praying for Trump’s recovery.
