Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has terms the Supreme Court’s decision in the reserve seats case as ‘historic’.

The PTI chairman made these remarks outside the Apex Court after Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, part of the three-member bench led by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, announced the 8-5 majority verdict, nullifying the Peshawar High Court’s order wherein it had upheld the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision denying the reserved seats to the SIC.

The bench accepted Sunni Ittehad Council’s petition and ruled that the party is eligible for the allocation of reserved seats.

Gohar said that the court’s decision will be written in history, and the people should offer thanksgiving prayers today.

“Finally, they have received their right, and today is a day of happiness for 250 million people,” he said thanking the judges for deciding in favor of PTI.

Moreover, PTI Senator Shibli Faraz also paid tribute to the courts, and said that they have received the reserved seats.

He added that the decision has upheld the flag of justice.

Apart from that, Sunni Ittehad Council leader Hamid Raza said that the top court has given the right to the rightful owner today.

“The Election Commission tried to steal the mandate, and the Supreme Court has expressed its lack of confidence in the Election Commission,” said Raza demanding the Chief Election Commissioner to resign immediately.
