Gold prices hit new high in Pakistan

Gold prices have hit a record high in Pakistan history after witnessing a Rs1,700 increase in per tola prices.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), after the recent increase, gold has soured to Rs268,000 per tola on Monday.

Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams touched Rs229,767 and witnessing an increase of by Rs1,458 per tola.

Last week, the price of gold rose to an all-time high of Rs. 264,000 per tola on September 11. However, the record didn’t stand long as the precious metal surged to Rs. 265,900 a couple of days later.

It further hit a price of Rs. 266,300 per tola on Saturday.

In the international market, gold prices surged to record high with spot gold up 0.5 percent to $2,588.29 per ounce as of 0551 GMT,.
