Gold prices in Pakistan reach record high

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a massive increase on Friday, with a Rs1,400 spike in rate per tola.

All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) said that the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold surged to Rs225,908 after an increase of Rs1,200.

On the other hand, the global gold market also witnessed a significant increase of $15. The international price of gold rose up to $2,518 per ounce during the trading day.

Silver prices in the local market saw a major decrease after a long time, dropping by Rs50 to Rs2,900 per tola.

The fluctuating gold prices in the local market continue to be influenced by the ongoing dynamics of the international market.
