Good News for Karachi motorists, bikers!

Parking a vehicle during shopping in the metropolis is a nuisance as the entire city has become ‘no parking zone’ – courtesy our traffic police.

If you ever dared to park your vehicle at a place other than charged parking you will face the music.  The ‘army’ of traffic police’s lifters remain alert and miss no opportunity to lift your vehicle and dump it to it’s checkpost to ‘punish’ you for ‘violating law’.

However, there is a good news on the part of traffic police for Karachiites as the DIG Ahmed Nawaz Cheema has announced to waive fine charged on parking vehicle in no parking zones.

He said that lifting charges for motorcycles and cars  lifted from outside all shopping centers in Karachi have been waived till Eid.

The DIG asked the citizens of Karachi that their vehicles and motorcycles lifted after Iftar will be returned without penalty.

He also appealed to the public to avoid parking in places that affect the flow of traffic.

The DIG said that the traffic police officials have been prevented from issuing unnecessary challans, and have instructed the officials to issue challans for one-way and wrong-way violations.
