Govt constantly striving to improve quality of life and economic well being of people through digital services.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed these, while addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday.

He said the government is constantly striving to improve the people’s quality of life and economic well-being by ensuring availability of accessible, affordable, reliable and high quality digital services.

Furthermore, he said our government firmly believes in mass adoption of emerging digital technologies.

Besides, it believes in innovative applications to ensure cross- sectoral socio economic development and transformation of governance model, social interaction and achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Foreign Minister recalled Pakistan as one of the first countries to endorse the SDGs.

He further said our long term development agenda and provincial development strategies stay aligned with the SDGs.

Meanwhile, Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin ul Haque also spoke.

He said all preparations have been completed for the auction of next generation mobile services spectrum next month.

Moreover, he said this will bring billions of rupees to the national exchequer.

Pakistan-China all weather strategic cooperative partnership

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan-China all weather strategic cooperative partnership has become an anchor for peace and stability in the region.

He expressed these views, while addressing a conference regarding Pakistan-China bilateral relationship.

The FM noted said both the countries support each other on their respective core issues.

He further said Pakistan has always upheld ‘One-China Policy’ and supported China on Taiwan, Tibet, Xinjiang, Hong Kong and South China Sea issues.
