Govt denies impression of interference in IHC

Attorney General of Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan has denied an impression of any interference in the Islamabad High Court.

In a video message today, the Attorney General said that there is no interference in the high court. A judge has written a letter to the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court and this conversation is being reported in the media. The purpose of writing the letter is not to interfere,  Mansoor Awan cleared.

He added that such an impression is being created that the relationship between the judiciary and the executive is bad.

The Attorney General said that an impression is given that the case will be decided on one side. The state has some sensitive and important matters. A state institution cannot interfere with the work of the judiciary, he added.
