Hajj 2025: Saudi Arabia to ban pilgrims with these health issues

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released new health advisory for the upcoming Hajj 2025 pilgrimage.

According to the advisory, individuals suffering from complex medical conditions such as severe kidney, heart, lung, liver diseases, and cancer will not be permitted to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage.

Additionally, those diagnosed with dementia, contagious diseases like tuberculosis, whooping cough, and similar illnesses will also be barred from participating.

The advisory also specifies that children under 12 years of age and pregnant women will not be allowed to perform Hajj.

Furthermore, all pilgrims will be required to be vaccinated against meningitis, COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and polio, as part of the health protocols set forth by the Saudi authorities.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, these measures are designed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and protect the health of all pilgrims.
