Hania Aamir finds her Indian culprit behind viral deep fake videos

Renowned actress Hania Amir has become the victim of deep fake on social media, and she has been man hunting her culprit.

Eventually, she got success in tracing the culprit who generated fake video using the artificial intelligence.

Hania became the centre of controversy when her videos went viral on social media. While, it was unclear initially that the person in the videos was actually the actress.

It soon became evident that the videos were deep fakes—created using AI to superimpose her face onto someone else’s body.

“This AI is extremely dangerous. Are there no laws to stop this?” Aamir asked, referring to the video, which she confirmed was not hers.

However, Hania revealed in an update that she had tracked down the individual responsible for sharing the deep fake content.

The actress shared a screenshot of the Instagram account in question, belonging to a user named “Anureet Sandhu,” who had amassed over 22,000 followers.

The aforementioned account features more than 100 AI-generated videos featuring her face.

The actress asked her followers to help by reporting the account, stating, “She has blocked me, but can you all report this account?”

It is revealed, that the account is being run from India’s Chandigarh.

According to a screenshot shared by the actress, the account had changed its name 18 times since it was set up in September 2022.
