ICC issues draft schedule for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
The draft schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been revealed.
ICC has shared the schedule with broadcasters, after consulting all the boards, he council will finalize the proposals.
According to sources, if the opening ceremony is approved, the curtain raiser event is likely to be held in Karachi, while the final ceremony of the Champions Trophy will be held in Lahore.
Sports period of Champions Trophy is fixed from 12th to 18th February, trophy will be played from 19th February to 9th March, reserve day of final is fixed on 10th March. Sports period window is fixed for warm-up matches and ICC will decide the warm-up matches in consultation with all the teams. If approved each team will be allowed to play a maximum of 2 warm-up matches.
ICC is consulting with all the teams regarding the warm-up matches, which will also be held in the 3 cities of the Champions Trophy, Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi.
Earlier, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved a budget of $70 million for the Champions Trophy 2025 scheduled in Pakistan.
ICC has sent all the schedules including sports period activities to the boards of Champions Trophy teams. The schedule includes match schedule, warm-up matches and other activities.
