How much cash reward announced for javelin gold medalist Arshad Nadeem?

Pakistan’s renowned javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal in the final of Javelin Throw event.

The star athlete launched a throw of 92.97-metre in his second attempt which was enough for him to secure gold medal.

This is the first-ever individual gold medal in Olympics for Pakistan.

In recognition of his historic gold medal win at the Paris Olympics 2024, Arshad Nadeem has been showered with rewards and accolades from various government officials, celebrities, and institutions.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a Rs100 million prize for Nadeem, praising him for giving the nation a precious gift on the occasion of Independence Day.

Additionally, she announced the construction of a sports city named Arshad Nadeem Sports City in Mian Channu.

The Sindh government also announced a Rs50 million reward for Nadeem, while Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori pledged to give Rs2 million. Singer Ali Zafar contributed Rs1 million to the athlete’s winnings.

Sindh Government Spokesperson and Sukkur Mayor Barrister Arsalan Islam Shaikh announced that Nadeem will be awarded a gold crown and the under-construction sports stadium in Sukkur will be named after him to honor his achievement.

The National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution to confer a civil award on Nadeem, recognizing his remarkable achievement in making history for Pakistan.
