Hundreds of mourners shifted to hospital after suffering heatstroke in Karachi

About 200 mourners suffered heatstroke due to extreme heat in Karachi today.

Executive Director of Jinnah Hospital, Dr. Shahid Rasool, said that 200 cases of heat-affected people were reported at the camp of Jinnah Hospital till 1 pm.

According to the executive director, the condition of 200 mourners deteriorated due to extreme heat and they were provided first aid.

Dr. Rasool requested the citizens to use cold juices in hot weather and keep a wet towel on their head while going out.

Meanwhile,  the mourning processions in connection with the Youm-e-Ashur are being taken out across the country to pay homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) and his devoted companions for their sacrifice in Karbala.

Mobile phone and internet services have been suspended in all major cities. Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces have been posted to thwart any untoward incident and maintain the law and order situation.

The day is a reminder of the unwavering resilience of Imam Hussain (A.S), the beloved grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), his family, and devoted companions, who valiantly defended Islam in the face of opposition and cruelty.
