I don’t harbour malice, enmity against others: Nawaz

08 June, 2024 16:06

Former prime minister and PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif has said that he was put in jail and asked to remove air-conditioner.

“I am not a vengeful person and I did not focus on that,” the three-time premier told the members of the parliamentary party in the Senate.

Nawaz said that Pervez Musharraf has passed away, adding what was the reason that he threw out the the PML-N government. A prime minister who pressed the nuclear button and detonated six nuclear bombs was treated like this. Those who called the metro bus as ‘jungle bus’ disappeared after wasting billions of rupees. The inquiry into the Peshawar metro bus scams has not been brought forward, Nawaz continued.

The former prime minister said that the nation should also compare who has done what, right should be called right and truth should be called truth. The living of the poor in Pakistan has been made difficult as bread is not available nor curry. Electricity is available at such a high rate. I had delivered electricity from house to house, he added.

Nawaz further said that he was not a person who seeks the help of IMF. There should be such a policy that electricity and gas should be cheap, he said.

The PML-N supremo said that Shehbaz Sharif is working very hard with sincerity as inflation is now low and the stock market is going up unprecedentedly.

He also appreciated Maryam Nawaz for her role in maintaining prices of flour and wheat.
