Pakistani actress and host Iffat Omar has come out in support of playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar, who is embroiled in a leaked videos controversy.

Omar took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to address the issue, without directly mentioning Qamar’s name.

In her post, Iffat Omar highlighted the irony that Qamar’s critics might now be defending him against the release of his private videos. She emphasized the importance of privacy, stating, “If two consenting adults are together, their privacy is none of my concern. Their body, their choice.”

Qamar recently fell victim to a honey-trapping scheme, which led to his abduction and the release of compromising videos.

The main suspect claimed to have videos showing Qamar trying to get close to a woman who had trapped him. Khalilur Rehman Qamar alleged that the videos were made under duress at gunpoint, adding complexity to the situation.
