India accused of ball tempering

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has accused India for ball tempering during their crunch game against Australia on Monday at the ICC T20 World Cup.

The 1992 World Cup winner was off the view that Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh was reversing the ball during his second spell.

“When Arshdeep Singh was bowling the 15th over (16th), he was getting reverse swing. With a (relatively) new ball, is it too early to get reverse swing? Was the ball ready for reverse swing by the 12th or 13th over? Because when he came to bowl, the ball started reversing,” he said while commenting on the game.

He said the umpires should keep their eyes open,” Inzamam added.

India managed to win the game by 24 runs with Arshdeep finishing off his spell with the figures off 3 for 37 from his four overs.

They will now face defending champions England in the semifinal of the tournament.
