India beat Pakistan in Asian Champions Trophy

India on Saturday down Pakistan 2-1 in the final round match of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in Hulunbuir City.

The Men in Blue remained undefeated in the competition as they head into the semifinal as table toppers with 15 points.

Meanwhile, Pakistan, who also qualified for the knockouts, finished second with a defeat and two draws and the same number of victories in the tournament.

The Men in Green showed some great attacking approach throughout the game, however, the failed to find the back of India’s net.

Ahmad Nadeem scored the only goal for Pakistan.

India bounced back instantly through a penalty corner. Captain Harmanpreet Singh netted the goal.

At the start of the second quarter, Harmanpreet once again stud up to the occasion and scored his second goal in the game off a penalty corner.

The third and fourth quarter remained goalless.
